This version of Meeting Guard has no notifications. There is a free version which DOES have (permanent) notifications, called simply "Meeting Guard". --Tired of forgetting to disable your Wi-Fi when you get into the office or class, and finding your battery drained by the afternoon?--Tired of getting data overages because you forgot to re-enable Wi-Fi when you leave the office?--Tired of forgetting to set your phone to vibrate, and being embarrassed during meetings or class by your ring-tone that your prankster roommate set to "Gay Bar" by Electric Six?This app solves those problems by disabling Wi-Fi and sound (and enabling vibrate) when you're in range of a specific Wi-Fi network, as well as setting your phone to vibrate mode whenever you have an event in your calendar where your time is shown as "busy" (as opposed to "available"). Similarly, whenever you enable vibrate or silent mode manually, Meeting Guard will give you an optional prompt to set a timer for silent mode, after which sound on the device will be re-enabled. You can set the app up to work when you're near your school, work, parent's house, or wherever! Even without the location-based functionality, you can use the app to help you out in many other ways. Here's what it does, in detail: -Monitors location based on Wi-Fi network availability (lower power consumption than GPS). -- You can set the network to monitor for -- Wildcards are supported. -When you get within range of the network specified in the settings, the app disables Wi-Fi, and enables Vibrate-only mode (disabling of each can be toggled on or off separately). -When you leave the proximity of the network, the app re-enables Wi-Fi and sound.-If your device cannot connect to any Wi-Fi network, the app disables Wi-Fi temporarily in order to conserve battery life for you. -Also, when an event in your calendar starts where your time is shown as "busy", the app sets your phone to vibrate only until the event is over.-Also, when the user manually enables Silent or Vibrate mode on their device, the app shows a small overlay UI in which the user can, if they choose, select the duration for which the device will remain silent. At the end of that duration, sound will be re-enabled. Any of these features can be enabled or disabled independently within the app's settings. Although this app is not banned, it is also not officially sanctioned by any IT department or company. There is no affiliation between the app, and any existing company.Note: Help documentation can be found here: http://goo.gl/V6DnQ, or by long-pressing on the description text in the main UI.
