Wi-Fi P2P Access Point screenshot 1
Wi-Fi P2P Access Point screenshot 2
Description
Requires Android 4.0 or later. This application creates a (semi)-permanent peer-to-peer access point, and reveals its SSID, pass phrase and IP address. A microcontroller (like an Arduino with Wifly shield), or a laptop, can use this information to make an adhoc connection with a custom phone application, through standard socket programming on each side. The phone can thus be used as a wireless controller. The access point remains active as long as Wi-Fi is enabled, but can be terminated by the system if unused. The access point can be tested by asking a laptop to find and connect to it.
